Assessment description
Students will choose a dataset on a topical subject from a reputable source and analyse the data using

dataanalytic techniques to demonstrate basic journalism competence.
They will also use specialised software for statistical computing (e.g., Excel).
Results should then be integrated in news reporting designed for the broadest audience and should also
include interviews with at least two subjects and an infographic.
