You are a Director for a Non-Profit Organization (NGO) in USA. In 13-15 pages, you will identify a major health problem afflicting a community (Hispanic, Asian, African American or other) and provide a proposed solution (a health education intervention or health administration change). You will work on the paper in pieces:
Abstract (250 words)

Should briefly review major highlights of the paper. The abstract should include background, literature review, program form literature, proposed program, recommendation and conclusion. Word limit for abstract is 250.

Paper Part 1
I. Background

1. Select a topic of interest related to a current public health problem in your community.
2. Look up 5 peer-reviewed journal articles from the Monroe library to support the topic of interest.
3. Introduction: should include the significance of the issue explored within the paper. The introduction should be brief, interesting and motivate audience to read the paper further.

II. Literature Review

In 5-6 pages, you will provide a detailed background, known as a literature review of what is currently known about this health problem, specifically in your community. The primary sources for this information are peer reviewed journal articles. Proper APA citations are required with References at the end. For your final paper, all references will go at the end of the paper. Cite at least 5 peer-reviewed articles. For each article clearly indicate following components – study design, purpose, methods-characteristics of the participants (gender and ethnicity), number of participants, participant recruitment, data collection methods, and key findings/results. The conclusion section should highlight major findings from the 5 peer-reviewed articles. You can compare and contrast the study findings in this section.
