The written presentation component includes the following required elements:
• Identifies three of the big ideas from the course that the student learned about throughout the course
• Describes in detail something about the three big ideas that the student discovered while working through the
crime scene scenario.
• Answers the question: What essential questions did the student’s crime scene scenario answer for you and
how?
• Written component has breadth, depth, and clarity
• Spelling and grammar are correct
• Write to purpose, there is no word count or page length requirement.
The oral presentation component includes the following required elements:
You are required to present your presentation in front of a camcorder, phone, etc. and upload the video to
Blackboard. The oral presentation component includes the following required elements:
• Describes your scenario from start to finish.
• Describes in detail something about the three big ideas that you discovered while working through the crime
scene scenario.
• Answers the question: What essential questions did your crime scene scenario answer for you and how?
• Presentation is between 5 and 10 minutes in length.
• Presentation has one visual aid such as a PowerPoint or Prezi presentation, scanned or created handout,
YouTube video, etc. Your visual cannot be X-rated!
