Create a newsletter or brochure (2-4 pages) that can be sent home with the parents of your class. This newsletter will, 1) define and describe EARLY LITERACY SKILLS 2) include two activities the parents can do at home with their child to assist with EARLY LITERACY SKILLS; 3) describe a website/app/tool that the parent and child can use together geared towards EARLY LITERACY SKILLS; and 4) include read-aloud selections and tips. The handout should be parent-friendly- readable and clearly defining any confusing terms, citing resources properly using APA format, and supplying helpful, relevant graphics (avoiding cutesy clip art or meaningless stock photos).
