Create the culture as manager of a small business
As the owner or manager of a small business, you will, in large part, create the culture. How you treat your employees, or rather how THEY feel you treat them, will determine that culture. The theory of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs has stood the test of time. Identify and summarize the five categories of basic needs included in Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. Then compare Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and Alderfer’s ERG theory. If you are currently employed, where do you see yourself on this pyramid? How is it affecting you either positively or negatively?
