Correlations between quantitative variables

  1. Calculate all correlations between quantitative variables. Among independent variables make a not of correlations greater than .9. Between your dependent variable and independent quantitative variables rank correlations from high to low.
  2. Calculate P-values on all correlations. Between your dependent and independent variables note the ones that are statistically significant at the 5% level.
  3. Calculate all partial correlations between your dependent and independent variables and rank them from high to low.
  4. Evaluate two-dimensional graphs between your dependent and each quantitative independent variable. Note any pattern of non-linearity.
  5. Derive box plots between your dependent variable and all factor variables. See if their are any outliers. Make a note of any that exist.
