1.    Please choose any of the following regions: Asia, Latin America, Emerging Europe, Middle East, or Africa.
2.    Read the slides related to that region. The slides are already on Ilearn. You can use the slides and other reading materials if you think it is necessary.
3.    Answer the two questions below in an essay format (not a PowerPoint).  Minimum of 3 pages (single spaced) overall for both questions.
4.    Please upload your answers in one document to Ilearn by December 11, 2014. A link will be there.

Main Question (1): You have been selected as a consultant for a company that is planning to start operations in the region of your choice. Please provide the company with a short overview of the region and strategies that might help them to be successful in that region.

Follow up Second Question (#2): Choose either question A or B as a follow up question

(A)    In the process of becoming a successful company in the region, what might be some of the cultural obstacles that your company might have to overcome to achieve its goals?

(B)    In the process of expanding in the region, how might governmental policies or other institutional factors help or slow down your strategies for growth?
