Choose and describe a real-life conflict that you have been part of and that you do not think turned out well.
Briefly describe the conflict. Show how this interaction (or set of interactions, if there were more than one)
fulfilled all of the components of the definition of interpersonal conflict, i.e., show how it was (1) a expressed
struggle (2) between interdependent parties with perceived (3) incompatible goals, (4) scarce resources, and
(5) interference from the other party.
Identify which conflict style you used (i.e. did you use avoidance, accommodation, compromise, collaboration,
competition or some combination of these styles).
ANALYZE what you think went wrong in the conflict. describe how you could have applied this process to the
conflict to lead to a better outcome.
