Concepts of the Apparel Design and Designer’s Role
Description
Write a report about 1) the concepts of apparel design, 2) designer’s role in manufacturing, and 3) consumer’s role in the market. You should be able to explain how clothing is made and why apparel products are distinguished from other industry goods or gallery art crafts. You should be able to explain what the designer’s role and consumer’s role are. Think about what is fashion! Include at least two references, use APA style. It should be typed: 3 pages, single space, font size 12 pts, Times New Roman.
Resources should come from the following books, (Ellinwood, J. Fashion by Design. NY: Fairchild books.), (Tate, S.L. Inside Fashion Design (5th ed). NJ: Pearson Prentice Hall), (Dickerson, K. Inside the Fashion Business (7th ed). NJ: Prentice Hall.), and (Davis, M. Visual design in dress. Nj: Prentice Hall.).
