You have been commissioned by a digger company who is investing in new mini digger for pavement or back garden work. The size of the digger need to be transported in a size: 2.3m in height, 1m in width and 3m in length. The mini digger needs to be able to turn freely in 360 degree.
You need to apply finite element analysis and optimisation on one of the components of the mini digger. The results need to be validated by hand calculation.
There should be three bucket sizes: 250mm, 350mm and 450mm in width. This can be achieved through design tables.
Design and model a mechanism which is capable of satisfying the brief.
