compare and contrast The Epic of Gilgamesh & The Odyssey with Oedipus the King (All 3 stories are from the book “The Norton Anthology World Literature” Volume A. More importantly my professor would like us to get into the themes and compare and contrast more the themes and how Gilgamesh and Odysseus themes are similar or different from Oedipus. The 3 themes I chose for my paper are the journey, tragic hero, & death (not being able to escape death).My professor very specifially wants the introduction to include “what is the element of a journey” “what is the element of a hero” she would love for the introduction to have a question and very very good thesis statement. After that the body should be about 2 pages per theme and my professor said we must have quotes and show direct connection from the stories to prove our point.
