Instructions: You will choose a min of 2 magazine types (genres) from the list below. You will then address
each of the questions. These statements / questions should help you paint a picture of the type of magazine
that you want. We will then come back together on Tuesday and pair into groups with people who have the
same interest. At that point, we will come up, as a group, with magazines.

What type of articles and Pictures will appear in your magazine? Why?
Who will be your target audience and why?
How will you promote your magazine?
What type of circulation do you need? ex: national, local, regional, east coast….
When will it be published? ex: weekly, monthly…etc
How would you publish you magazine? ex. digital…..
As a magazine founder / publisher choose a genre that keeps your interest in the forefront because it’s what
makes you successful. With that being said, answer these questions to the best of your ability and with your
interest in mind.
