Does your phone control your life and/or dictate your communication? How do you feel that phones, apps, social media tools, etc. were designed to make you obsess over them? Tristan Harris says your phone (and implicitly social media) puts a choice on your life's menu that is sweeter than reality. Is that true? What does that say about people who filter themselves through these various media outlets? Harris goes on to say that "never before in history have 50, mostly male 20-35 year old, designers living in California working at three tech companies influenced how a billion people spend their time". How does this make you feel about the mediated environment in which you live and communicate?
