Christianity, Islam, or The Hebrew Bible and Hinduism Theories

Question 1. I’ve picked Christianity for this Theory.
This week, we focused on theories of human nature operating some of the world’s religions. Because we are taking up these theories in a philosophy class, we approached these theories much differently than we would if we were considering them as believers in these various traditions.
Pick one of the theories (Christianity) we discussed and talk about how it is different to consider the theory of human nature as a philosopher than it is to consider it as a person of faith.
What do you think is the value of the philosophical approach, and what do you think are the challenges of approaching religious teachings in this way?

Question 2. Pick whichever theory (Christianity, Islam, or The Hebrew Bible and Hinduism) and philosopher (Descartes or Hume) you like.
This week I would like you to choose one of our two modern philosophers ( Descartes or Hume) and compare and contrast features of their account of human nature with one or more of the religious theories (Christianity, Islam, or The Hebrew Bible and Hinduism) we looked at last week. You can focus on one aspect of the philosophical theory (Christianity) you choose, or discuss the theory as a whole.
