Causes of Excessive Use of Force by Law Enforcement.

Requirements: Write up a brief source list document using the format provided below after searching for the following types of sources. This assignment is meant to provide you with some primary sources for me to approve for your final paper. You will be able to change references at a later point if you find ones that are a better fit for your topic. This assignment provides me an opportunity to review and approve your primary sources. It also allows me to assess your command of the American Psychological Association 6th edition citation styles.

ALL of the six sources you need to find, listed below by type, must have been published within the past ten years (2009 – 2019).
The exceptions to this are for Supreme Court Case topics.
ALL of the six sources need to be focused on the United States Criminal Justice System. No non-US based or international studies/sources are permitted.
ALL six sources must include an APA 6th edition formatted reference (see the APA Resources Module on Canvas for examples)
Find two Peer-reviewed, scholarly journal articles. This library guide explains what a peer-reviewed source is:http://librarysubjectguides.svsu.edu/ld.php?content_id=29406133
Find one academic book which would help you understand the issues surrounding your chosen topic. A section or single chapter in a book is also acceptable. Your textbook does not count as a book source.
Find two statistical information databases or studies from a reputable, reliable, quality source (governmental, some non-profit, etc.). I suggest starting with the Bureau of Justice Statistics https://bjs.gov/ (Links to an external site.)
Find one popular news piece or case example that illustrates the topic area you are researching for the paper.
Use the format below to write up your source list:

For each source, list the citation in APA 6th edition format first.
Beneath the citation, provide a summary explaining each of the following areas:
What each source is about (is it a statistical source? Newspaper article? Book chapter? etc.).
Who produced the source? (name the author, the organization or university, publication name, etc.)
What specific information this source has (statistics, examples, rates, history, court cases, data, evidence, etc.) that add to your understanding of the topic?
