Case study for infant/ toddler
Continuation/Revision of the Order 289775934. Part 1: Identifying children’s unique characteristics and needs • Approaches standard (6.9 / 10) • This section needs to be revised. Focus on the infant/toddler period — age 0 to 2 years. Present relevant milestones in each of the 4 developmental domains (physical, intellectual/cognitive, social-emotional, language). Provide citations for your milestones. For each domain, state whether the child is meeting the relevant milestone(s). Provide observations from the video to support your statement about the child. Part 2: Describing developmental theories • Approaches standard (4.5 /6) • Generally a good job of describing Piaget’s theory; however, much of the information appears to come from a source other than Lightfoot et al. Also, you need to tell how the theory provides insight to the development of the target child (see syllabus). Part 3: Multiple influences on young children’s development • Approaches standard (5.5 / 7) • Generally a good job describing how family influences the development of children, but you didn’t address the influence of socioeconomic status (see syllabus)
