Im an advanced nurse practitioner trainee working with a consultant at wythenshawe hospital as part of OPAL (Older People Assessment and Liaison) team in the ed and we took over care once patient stable. Please ensure discussion on best interest decision/consent in dementia patients and why Aortic valve replacement not appropriate in this patient i.e. dementia (quality of life), CABG and aortic stenosis increasing risk.
