Business Calculus Manual for "Implicit Differentiation"

  1. We are going to develop a business calculus "manual" which for future students may use a reference. The topic is "Implicit Differentiation"The objective is to present your interpretation of some of your topic and to provide personal insights on your understanding of these topics. The writing will be in narrative form. All of these narratives will be assembled into a "book" which we can publish on Blackboard or elsewhere on the web.
  2. The most important component of the project is to explain the essence of "Implicit Differentiation" (less important is technical mathematics). You may make the narratives as "mathematical" as you'd like, but keep in mind the audience: future business calculus students who may benefit from your insights. Your goal is to reveal the conceptual heart of "Implicit Differentiation".
  3. You may supplement your ideas with pictures, statements, theorem, etc. This is not necessary but welcomed. Our goal is not to create a textbook, but rather the story of business calculus.
