2. Please discuss Buddhist beliefs concerning death and the dying process. How are these reflected in the practices undertaken by Buddhist individuals, in preparation for death, and Buddhist communities, in support of the dying person? How do they compare with Western beliefs and/or practices concerning dying and/or palliative care? In answering your question, please discuss at least one of the examples of a Buddhist’s death experience presented in the Never Die Alone book.

3. Buddhists and Christians share many basic beliefs concerning the origins of human life (life begins at conception, etc.), yet they tend to differ considerably in their attitudes toward the practice of abortion.
