Find a news package that localizes an angle of the Coronavirus epidemic. That means it must be from a local news station (from anywhere in the country) but not from a national newscast.
Post a link to the story and answer these questions:
- Is it a hard news or soft news story?
- Describe how the reporter localized the story.
- Is there a live shot or a stand-up in the package?
- Give a brief assessment of the reporter's writing. Is it concise and understandable? Why or why not?
- Think about some of the things I talked about in the lecture. What is one thing the reporter could have done differently to make the package better? You may list more than one.
