a.You might want to first read several book reviews in some journals to get an idea how management books
could be reviewed; and/or look up how-to references such as https://wts.indiana.edu/writing-guides/writingbook-reviews.html.
b.Good understanding of the issues involved is important. Hence, make an effort to comprehend the
concepts and research findings in the book as thoroughly as possible.
c.Read as many relevant aiticles/books as possible. Theories/frameworks you learn from the literature
review are to help you critique/appraise the book.
d.Coherent, logical, well-developed arguments are something you should strive for always.
e.Make sure references, bibliography, footnotes, etc. are all of correct format and presented professionally.
f.Write in fluent and clear English; otherwise, the reader might not be able to follow your points, and your
hard work would be wasted.
g.Remember to structure your essay to make it flow smoothly from beginning to end. It should be a
continuous piece of work that has a beginning, a mid-section and an end; i.e. an introduction, a substantial
discussion section and a conclusion. Between paragraphs, there should be links; between sections,
connections. But how (such as style, perspective, theme) you begin and end your paper is your choice
entirely.
h.See if you can write an interesting paper; one that keeps the reader going when reading through it.
