Boccaccio's Decameron

Description

My idea is to knit the Artworks of Sandro Botticelli's 4-panel paintings, of (La Historia de Nastagio degli Onesti ) from Day 5 story 8. from the Decameron and weaving his artwork into a paper that speaks to the era.

Considering the following-

It will show proof that the two art forms enhance each other,

Identifying the patron and where/how the panels were originally displayed as well as and the intended audience(s).

How the spreading of the lessons and morals, or lack thereof, impact Italy and beyond.

Strongly consider the relationship between sensory language and sensory imagery.

Also, speak to the narrative strategies Boccaccio is using and how those same narrative strategies are being used the Botticelli’s panels.

Identifying other artists and works that both support and counter this thesis.

It will prove the message of the Decameron.is enhanced by the combination of language and imagery when placed in the hands of Boccacio and Botticelli.
