You may earn 4 extra paints on your total grade for the class by attending an Africa-related event on campus or off-campus, and writing a two-page (doubled spaced) review of the event in relation to the themes of the course. Such an event could be a public lecture, debate, conference, film screening, artistic performance, or exhibition. Reviews must be submitted by the last class meeting of the semester.
