Surgitate is a medical company that specializes in designing and producing organ models that provide realistic responses to surgical interventions. The company was founded in 2013 by Dr.OzgeAkbulut, a materials scientist academic and an entrepreneur, and a group of investors.

Surgitatehave positioned themselves as affordable/accessible training platforms for medical doctors. In particular, they currently produce and sell realistic breast models that surgeons can practice on, especially for breast cancer treatments. Below is a screenshot from their Instagram account:

Surgitate’s Facebook account can be found at https://www.facebook.com/surgitate/ and shares various media related to surgeons who have operated on their products, industry-academia networking events, and breast cancer awareness issues.

Recently, Surgitate’s sole distributor in the UK, which was instrumental in distributing Surgitate’s products both in the UK and across the globe via Amazon.co.uk, has been dissolved as a company due to its owner’s passing away. In addition, the number of units sold have remained limited for the past 3 years, and this poses cash-flow problems. In particular, currently new units cannot be produced as raw material cannot be bought due to these cash-flow problems.

Your task is to identify Surgitate’s digital marketing and management problems, and design a digital marketing plan in order to solve Surgitate’s problems. You are expected to draw on tools, theories, and frameworks discussed in lectures, and to study the company’s various social media profiles.
