Provide an overview of the different types of bilingual education, and explain why and in what way the so called ‘strong’ forms of bilingual education are more effective than ‘weak’ forms, referring to the literature. Comment on the limitations of research carried out to prove the effectiveness of bilingual programmes.You can refer to Baker, C. (2011). Foundations of bilingual education and bilingualism.
