Using THREE practical examples taken from the teaching practice in your specialist subject area,
• Identify and analyse the pedagogical principles and theories of behaviour management that you used to manage student behaviour
• Evaluate the effectiveness of your use of creative and innovative approaches to classroom management.

 Talk about the motives behind behaviour
 What does theories say about behaviour
 For example, Driekur’s 4 motives of behaviour and others
To seek attention
To gain power
To seek revenge for some perceived injustice
To avoid failure – feeling of inadequacy
 How do they show or manifest it

 Why is it important to manage a behaviour as teacher
 Talk about social learning theories and the social learning environment and Reward and punishment (Skinner)
 Give an example where you have used innovative approaches to behaviour(talk about three different behaviours)
Evaluate the effectiveness of your use of creative and innovative approaches to classroom management.

TASK 4
For ONE assessed observation of your teaching practice, in your specialist area, identify, explain and evaluate how your practice in the FOUR areas listed below helped create inclusive teaching and learning.
• Establishing and sustaining a safe and inclusive learning environment. E.g. set ground rule, sitting plans,good walking space, no cable, no hazards
• Flexibility and adaptability in the use of inclusive teaching and learning approaches and resources, including technologies. Eg adapting font size for visually impaired, adapting learning objectives, one to one support etc.
• Promoting equality and valuing diversity. Eg valuing students opinion, don’t leave student any out etc
• Flexibility and adaptability in using types and methods of assessment to meet assessment requirements. (925 words)
