My topic/argument for my persuasive speech is:

Climate change is one of the most pressing issues facing our planet today, and we need to take action to reduce our carbon footprint.

I believe that everyone has a role to play in addressing climate change, and I hope that my speech will inspire my audience to make changes in their own lives to help reduce their environmental impact.

Audience analysis:

Based on the comments in the discussion, I can see that my classmates are generally aware of the problem of climate change and are concerned about its effects.
