. The principal of the fund has tasked you with selecting
two works, one significant and one minor2
, from any (i) of the upcoming sales3 on view at Christie’s and
Sotheby’s, (ii) works offered by dealers via Instagram (in your memo, please include a screenshot of the
work offered in the feed), and (iii) NFT platform (please choose no more than one work from this
category) as potential acquisitions for the fund. You must draft a valuation memo for each work, using
information from one or more databases (as applicable), qualitative review of the works, and any other
inputs you deem useful in assigning values. Regarding data analysis, you may use quantitative
techniques or appraisal methods to extrapolate your conclusion from historical records.
Memos should be no longer than 2 pages, single-sided, with 1.5 or double line spacing. Your memos
should exhibit active engagement with a database and clarity of argument. In addition to the memos,
please include at least one image of each work and a short summary describing your valuation process.
