Description

1) Discuss the drinking age. Either argue it should be lowered, it should stay the same, or it should be raised, and be clear about why.

2) Reflect on ‘Audrie and Daisy’, the documentary we watched. Here are some arguments that can be made about it (choose).

• The boys in the situation are victim, as well, because they have obviously not learned a lesson, and their adult role models are not sufficient.
• The sexual assault on any (or all) of the girls was not the worst part. The worst part was the assault by society and the victim blaming that followed.
• you can use other examples besides the ones in the documentary if you wish.

3) Choose your own topic based on current events. Make sure your point is clear, and we understand what your position is, and prove your point. Just take a position on an issue and argue your side of it with evidence.
Specifics:

1) Use a standard 10 or 12 font on the final draft.

2) Double space- Points will be taken off for single spacing.

3) Essay must be at least 4 pages long.

4) Indent for paragraphs, do not add an extra space

5) Header on the first Page: Your Name, Date, English 1301, Ms. Decker

6) Number any other pages

7) Works Cited page with at least 1 source.
