Develop an argument that intervenes in the critical discourse by way of a close reading of Through the Arc of the
Rain Forest.

descriiption of the critical conversation and how your argument contributes to it and then develop your argument through a close analysis of a key theme or
problem in the text. Write a paper that enters into the scholarly debate about the novel’s
representation of the local and/or the natural within the context of
globalization. What critical approaches to this question do you find most
compelling? Take a stance within the conversation or propose some middle
position.
