Discuss the role antioxidants play in the role of Coronary Heart Disease (CHD), Atherosclerosis and

Cancer. For this assignment, you want to do the following:
Write at least one paragraph providing an overview about each disease. You will need to write a

paragraph about CHD, Atherosclerosis, and Cancer. You can choose a specific type of cancer (i.e.

breast, pancreatic, etc) or you can write about cancer in general. I recommend providing some statistics

about each disease in regards to incidence and death rates.
For each disease, discuss the role that antioxidants play in disease management. While this week’s lesson

is about Vitamin D and K, you can also discuss other antioxidants (Vitamin C, E, etc) that may have

protective or treatment like effects. You can also discuss antioxidants in general for each specific

condition and not focus on a single nutrient.
Give your reader a little overview about the disease before going directly into what antioxidants can do as

I see that too often. It would be good to have an introduction to each disease and then content to support

which vitamins or antioxidants to support each disease. If the research is not compelling in a specific

area, you can state your case on why you feel they may not be beneficial.
