A Place at the Table is a 2012 documentary film directed by Nanfu Wang and Jialing Zhang. The film explores the issue of hunger and poverty in the United States.
I found three things remarkable or interesting in the film:
- The number of people who are food insecure in the United States. According to the film, one in six Americans is food insecure, meaning they do not have access to enough affordable, nutritious food. This is a staggering number, and it is important to remember that food insecurity can affect anyone, regardless of their income or social status.
