Thread: According to the AARC Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG) there are no pharmacological or nonpharmacological airway clearance therapies (ACT) that can be routinely recommended for airway clearance to
the hospitalized pediatric patients outside of the CF population. Discuss why ACTs, which are routinely used in
pediatric respiratory therapy can not be recommend in an evidence based clinical practice guideline. Consider
discussing why clinical practice is often behind the evidence.
