The affordances of digital and social media platforms, in particular, have contributed to substantial transformation of who produces the news, how it is delivered and by whom, and how it is engaged with by media users. Using examples, critically discuss such transformations, developing an argument that evaluates its potential benefits and risks for journalism today and in the future.
