Adapting a letter to alternate audiences

Description

Using the Athlete Apparel Warehouse Letter attached, you will develop two separate descriptions of how you would adapt this letter to alternate audiences.

You are not writing additional letters.Instead, write two substantial paragraphs (at least 6-8 sentences each) in which you explain how you would adapt the letter to each of two additional stakeholder groups. Other stakeholders might include (but are not limited to): employees, board of directors, suppliers, vendors, members of the community, or government agencies. Pick two different groups that are not customers. Address the group as a whole, not individuals representing those groups. For example, if you select the board of directors and employees, you will write two paragraphs describing how you would adapt your message to the AAW board of directors and another two paragraphs describing how you would adapt your message to AAW employees. Use each group name as a heading.

For example, if you choose employees, you will explain in first-person the changes you would make if you were wanting to share the same change with employees rather than customers (“I would adapt this letter to employees by…”). Think big picture rather than documenting each word you would edit. For example: Would you approach sharing the change similarly or differently and why? What information would this group be most concerned about having? What information do they already have and therefore you can leave out? What response will they have to this news? To what extent do you need to be concerned with building goodwill? Would you use the same channel (a letter) as was used for customers?

Follow the same format (heading and explanation of adaptations) for the second group. Paragraphs should be single-spaced, and double-spaced (a blank line) between paragraphs.
