A strong resume sets you up for success in securing the job you want in your field of study
A strong resume sets you up for success in securing the job you want in your field of study. An important accompaniment of a strong resume is a career objective. With a career objective, you are using key terms and industry words that reflect the position you desire. This will allow a recruiter to evaluate whether or not you are a good fit for the position.
First impressions matter! A resume is a document where you can showcase your work history and areas of expertise. You want to make sure that your career objective matches the job description so that your experience is a good “fit” for the employer. Oftentimes, the career objective is the only aspect of the document that the company will look at before they either (1) keep your resume to review or (2) discard it. Grammar, format, sentence structure, and clarity in your objective are all important components of a clearly written and defined career objective.
