A mentor

  1. Think of someone whom you might consider a mentor. What qualities did that person have? Why did you respect him or her? What wisdom did your mentor have? What did you learn from the relationship? Write a brief description of that person, or tell a story about him or her that shows how knowledgeable your mentor is even if you didn’t realize it at the time.
  2. Alternately, imagine that someone younger than you has approached you for advice. This person is unsure about whether college is the right choice, and uncertain about what career path to follow. What advice would you give him or her? How would you advise this person, who looks up to you, to make these important decisions? ( 275 words minimum)
