instances include a nightingale, a raven, and a
cat. Comparing John Keats’ “Ode to a
Nightingale” with one example from Edgar
Allan Poe’s works, discuss the relationship
between the animals and the
speaker/narrator. What impact do these
animals have on the speaker or narrator?
