Discuss the notion of artificial intelligence suggested by Turing (1950) and the refutation argument proposed by Searle (1980).
Explain Turing’s article, explaining his idea about artificial intelligence, the study/studies he does (the imitation game, turing test) including the methods and procedures he used and conclusions he made (Any output that is human-like is intelligent, if not it is not intelligent enough – mentioning soft/hard artificial intelligence) Then, present the refutation by Searle (1980) regarding artificial intelligence (It is about meaning not just the output).

The two articles are:
