•Determine the impact of herbal and alternative therapies on disease states and pharmacologic treatments
•Analyze the impact of nutrition on an individual’s health and wellbeing

Module 3: Neuro, Autonomics, and Psychiatric Pharmaceuticals
Discuss broad categories of neurological medications along with mechanisms of action and adverse reactions
•Analyze the pharmacological properties of autonomic medications
•Categorize psychiatric medications and discuss therapeutics and adverse reactions

Module 4: Pharmaceutical Treatment of Musculoskeletal and Immunity Disorders
Analyze the pharmacological properties of musculoskeletal medications and their impact on physiologic alterations
•Assess the relationship between immunity disorders and pharmacological treatments

Module 5: Pharmaceutical Treatment of Respiratory and Cardiovascular Disorders
Analyze the relationship between pharmacologic agents and physiologic/pathologic responses of the respiratory and cardiac systems
•Apply and integrate organizational, client centered, and culturally appropriate concepts in the planning, delivery, management, and evaluation of medication administration for the heart failure patient

•Discuss the pharmacologic considerations for infants and children

Module 7: Pharmacology in the Community
Apply and integrate organizational, client centered, and culturally appropriate concepts in the planning, delivery, management, and evaluation of medication administration
•Evaluate the role of genetics in pharmacologic treatments
