This is an assignment for my online Networking Fundamentals class. My teacher is relatively strict so please follow the directions thoroughly. I chose 3 sources but feel free to use more. We don’t have a textbook for this class, our readings are all on testout.com. If you login to my school website you will be able to access the syllabus under the course home page on the top left of the webpage which has the required readings listed. I always provide my login information to the people writing my papers because it allows them to see the actual directions for the assignment in the school site and actually being able to access the readings yourself can make it easier to do citations. Lastly, I will also provide the login information for my test out account that you will have to log into to do the quick labs WHICH YOU HAVE TO DO! The last person who did my order didn’t do the labs and I lost a significant amount of points. I already talked to customer service on buyessay.net to ensure that this specific assignment could be completed. In the past, I made sure it was okay to provide my school website login information to the person writing my paper and I do that every order. Assignment 2

Online Lab and Course Project

This assignment consists of two parts:

1. Online TestOut Hands-on Lab 2
2. Part 2 of the course project

TestOut Hands-on Lab 2

To complete this lab:

1. Login to your TestOut account.
2. Then, complete the following labs:
A. 2.1.3 Connect to an Ethernet Network
B. 3.1.3 Select and Install a Network Adapter
C. 3.2.4 Select a Networking Device

Note: Remember, to be able to do these labs correctly, you are encouraged to review the materials provided under TestOut sections.

3. Once you complete your lab, click Done for your score to be submitted. You can do each lab up to three times. The average score will be considered.
Course ProjectPart 2

In this assignment, you will study the hardware components, the network, and connection media specifications that make a network function optimally.

Using the South University Online Library or the Internet, research the following:

*Hardware and software components used for networks
*Connection media specifications for networks
Continuing with the scenario you worked with in W1 Assignment 3, in which you designed a network for Dreamz Inc.; this week, you will complete the following tasks:

*If needed, modify the plan created in W1 Assignment 3 to accommodate suggestions and recommendations from your instructor and your own changes based on the readings and activities for this week. Color code your additions or modifications so that the changes are easy to identify.
*Select the hardware and software components to build the LAN. Make sure you do not select two different components to perform the same function.
*Select the hardware and software components to build the WAN such that Dreamz Inc. can connect to other public and private networks.
*In the branch office of Dreamz Inc. at Detroit, each user is a highly billable resource and the company cannot afford the unavailability of any user due to a network problem. Each user needs at least 100 Mbps connection speed. Select the network equipment that you will use for this branch office and explain why.
*Select the specification of the connection media to be used and state the reasons for selecting it.
*Prepare and post a 2- to 3-page report using Microsoft Word to document your work. It is important to pay close attention to the page limit.
