The Gothic era is known as the age of the great cathedrals. The architecture of this period is important to understand and appreciate.
To support your learning and appreciation of the Gothic and Romanesque eras answer the following essay question. For this essay write a full page (minimum) paper responding to the following question. Be sure and address all parts of the question.

Describe the architectural differences between the Romanesque church, Saint-Sernin and the Gothic cathedral, Chartres Cathedral, citing specific architectural structural differences in both the exterior and interior of the buildings, as well as the visual results these allowed. Mention a few of the interior adornments that enhance the visual results of the architecture. Be specific, and be sure and note all stages of Chartres in the discussion
